Emma Russack Peasants EP out now through Spunk Records
After the success of the track ‘Psycho' (recorded under the guise Lola Flash) on the Spunk Singles Club earlier this year, Emma Russack has released her debut EP Peasants through the Spunk Records label.
The Peasants E.P. features 7 unreleased songs, including the singles 'By The Shore' and 'Sex On The Beach'. Emma has just completed a New South Wales tour with the Middle East and joined M Craft on his headline shows. More shows to be announced.
Reviews are praising this debut with the Sydney Daily Telegraph declaring their "Verdict: Way Too Good."
"Intimacy is tricky to achieve on a recording. This young Australian singer-songwriter has already struck a very intimate relationship with thousands of fans via youtube... the same aesthetics of her vocal performance make their way on to her debut EP, 'Peasants', a collection of seven songs which show a dizzying breadth of style and confidence. Opening track From Where You Are Sleeping is a languid torch song, By The Shore has a great jazz lounge feel, Autumn's all too brief pastoral waltz perfectly captures the season while Sex On The Beach is a raucous and often comedic commentary on its subject" Daily Telegraph
