XIRA, the alt-pop solo project of Sydney-based Tamika Stanton, has achieved with just two tracks, what many artists fail to achieve until second or third albums – genuinely interesting pop” – according to Purple Sneakers, who named XIRA as one of their ‘Artists to Watch in 2019’.

With an impressive first year – releasing her first two singles, which have already amassed over 27k streams; Getting played on Richard Kingsmill’s ‘2018’ and Bridget Hustwaite’s ‘Good Nights’; Playing her first live show, as support for Kira Puru; and most recently, signing a publishing deal with Native Tongue – XIRA has quickly proven herself as a powerful songwriter and a unique artist. Catching the attention of local radio stations, including Triple J, Richard Kingsmill said Sleep Talker “bounces like a rubber ball, and [is] as fun as one too”, adding that it was a “Great vocal delivery”; And Bridget Hustwaite, who added XIRA to her “What’s Good” playlist on Spotify said “this really pops on air! What a cool, playful pop gem!”
