Since his arrival to Berlin from New Zealand in 2013, Richie has continued building his reputation as a songwriter and vocalist, a live musician and session player. He has performed on stage with Kat Frankie, M.Rux & The Drums, Max Prosa, John Moods and Itaca.
In 2015 he co-founded The Hole Boys and helped establish the Neukölln Country Club, a monthly variety show featuring artists from Berlin and around the world, including Sean Nicholas Savage, Molly Nilsson, DENA, Albertine Sarges, Discovery Zone and Derya Yildirim, to name a few.
As a solo musician in Germany he has supported Tiny Ruins, The Magic Numbers, Sallie Ford, Max Prosa, Margaret Glaspy, Marlon Williams, Julia Jacklin and Kat Frankie.
His songwriting is cinematic and affecting, mixing melancholy and pathos with absurd humor and surrealism.
Previously working under the name Bannerman, in October 2019, Richie released the Aimless Survivor EP, the first under his given name. His new record Curious Growth was released in November 2022. Richie also writes and records under the name Bliss Creek and with Andres Barlesi under the name Harmonie Fields.
